About Me

Andy Bennett
Hi! I am a professional bagpiper, Viking ship builder, driftwood sculpture artist, and global adventurer living in central Minnesota. When I am not out creating unique natural art or collecting insect bites in some remote rainforest, you can find me bagpiping at local parades, celebrations, parties, and memorial services in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area.
So, how did I get here?
After a stint in the US Army, 20 years as a US government employee, and then another dozen as a US government contractor, I have decided to devote this current chapter of my life to music, beauty and discovery. And now I have more time to pursue these dalliances.
Multiple visits to Scotland infected me with bagpipe fever, which I suspect is a lifelong affliction. I now play bagpipes, build bagpipes, march with bagpipes, and go to band camp in North Carolina every summer to hang out with similarly afflicted bagpipers. -Andy Bennett
