Piper’s Combat Kit
This blog post is for bagpipers.
If you have not yet assembled a piper’s combat kit to take with you to scheduled bagpiping gigs, do it now.
It will save your ass.

I assemble separate combat kits for each set of bagpipes that I own. Each combat kit is contained in a molded thermoplastic tackle box to organize and protect all your necessities and still fit into your bagpipe case. It comes filled with goodies: spare chanter reeds, a sharp blade for last minute reed surgery, drone bore oil and weighted swabs, a spool of authentic cannabis hemp, sticky cobbler’s wax, Teflon tape, and String Snot (smooth wax) for joints, black plastic zip ties for cords, a tube of TIZIP for the bag zipper, rubber plugs for drone caps, sets of earplugs, pre-cut strips of black tuning tape for the chanter, bits of surgical tubing for blowpipe mouthpieces, and a few stray business cards.
Bring this to your next gig and your Pipe Major is going to love you… (finally). ;o)
